Stunning Swedish nude portrait of a seated, dark haired woman. The artist's choice of background colour reflects the colour of the sitter's eyes and her jet black hair. She looks away from the viewer, pensively.

Signed Helge Frender, 1906-1976 who studied at the Royal Academy of Arts in Stockholm in the 1930s and was widely exhibited in his lifetime.
