Riverbanks

We have two of these striking and expressive French paintings of villages along a riverbank; it is very hard to tell where they might be although one reminds me a little of Egypt with its villages of square mud houses running along the Nile. (They are sold and priced individually.)

Signed by an unknown artist, dated '55.

Ink on paper under glass in vintage French wood frames. Please note some buckling of the paper under the glass as pictured.
