Landscape with Almond Trees

Beautiful Swedish mid century landscape of fields stretching out to a blue horizon and hills. There are trees bursting into pink blossom in the foreground, probably almond trees. The artist has balanced an array of greens with dusky ochres and pinks to create a really beautiful painting.

Signed T(adeusz)Kamasa 1924-2003. Kamasa was born in Poland and studied art in Krakow. He became a Swedish citizen in 1944 and studied at the Stockholm Academy of Arts. He travelled to Denmark, Norway and Italy where won a gold medal for his landscapes.

Oil on canvas in wood frame in vintage condition with gilt and raffia trim.
