Apples on the Beach

Beautiful Surrealist beach scene with three red and green apples on a rocky beach with a fabulous acid green sky,  signed E. Cederberg, 1897-1985, and dated '79

Cederberg is known for his still life works of apples and pears and his small Surrealist influenced seascapes. He was self-taught and made several study trips to Germany, the South of France and to Paris, where he was influenced by Braque's work.
