Apples Monotype

A monotype is an individual single print, often very painterly, made by applying paint to a flat sheet of metal or glass which is then transferred to paper. This has visible brushmarks which, despite the fact this painting is a print, still shows the artists' hand. Monotype prints of the same painting vary greatly.
