Ships on the Sand

Fun painting of two wooden fishing boats with red buoys and dark brown sails, sitting on the sand, set against a bright blue sky; a lovely painting for a bathroom or a child's room.

Signed Lars Norrman 1915-1979. Lars started painting when he went to sea as a 15 year old and was encouraged to train as an artist upon his return. He trained at Otto Skölde's Academy in Stockholm and then under Léger in Paris. He travelled widely, including in Africa, Japan and Latin America and is widely held in Swedish museums.
