Uno Dewoon 1909-1988 signed. Uno studied at private art schools in Sweden and then travelled in Europe, spending time in the Netherlands, Portugal, England and Denmark. He is known for his cubist still lifes and small landscapes.
The warmth of the Mediterranean sun emanates form this small painting. It evokes summer holidays and wandering round unknown corners of unknown villages in the heat of the day.
Small oil on board in limed gilt wooden frame with linen passepartout measuring 55 x 33.5 cm. In good vintage condition with tiny scratch at the lower edge which does not detract from the attractiveness of the painting.
