Les Bords de l'Yvette

Stunning and vibrant French landscape the banks of the river Yvette, a tributary of the Seine. The trees and foliage on either side of the river are in a wonderful palette of bright and dark greens and turquoise blue sky is reflected on the river. This is a very special painting!

Signed Georges Joubin, 1888-1983, who studied in Paris under Jean-Pierre Laurens and later founded L'Ecole de Montmartre with Bonnard in 1912 .
