Nisse Zetterberg 1910-1986. Nils (Nisse) Zetterborg was born into a creative family; his mother was a porcelain painter and his father was a recognised artist. He studied at Stockholm Academy of Fine Arts from 1929 to 1933 where he won several medals and scholarships. He travelled widely in Europe including France where he would have seen the work of the Impressionists and of Cézanne. He increasingly came to work on a monumental scale and became head of Mural Painting at the Academy. His work was varied and included still life, portraits, landscapes murals and mosaics.
