Gunnar Zilo 1885-1958, signed and dated '51. Zilo started painting as a boy, studied in Gothenberg and Stockholm and then went to Paris to the Académie de la Grande Chaumière where he was influenced by the Cubists. A retrospective of his work was held in Stockholm in 1965.
